Blessings & Best Wishes on your remodel. The classic lines of the new island and commanding pantry, coupled with a dark-and-white color scheme, equal a galley with lasting appeal. I started this blog during the original kitchen makeover we did five years ago. Really this post is very essential for us.Thanks.DonaldReplyDelete

We finally got the key three weeks ago. Ours is a 18×80, so I was wondering if you would share what yours cost and the size of your home. It was a golden scroll in each corner and I put some WD-40 on it and scraped it right off. (is it in a groove with a clips or just in the groove with no clips? If there are clips you should be able to replace them a bit easier than if there are no clips)The really cheap fake etching (it's really just a sticker like bodily) can be scraped off with a razor blade. I have been wanting to cosmetic the first floor of my sister’s house and this is the color.

I in fact love your information and pigment choices. You can also purchase edging to hasten around it to give it a more finished look. right now I am focusing on my bedroom, and the Haven and hearts of Palm look wonderfull. We've lived in our home four years now and have only had minimal cracks on our walls. A great site for remodeling information is mobilehomeliving.org. DeleteReply

Undo cathyyg Kitchen subside base cabinets come in more than one size, as in a single sink size versus a double sink size. Thank you for your inspiration and verify!

Central to the kitchen renovation is the 63” x 40” island that Mimi fabricated from a mixture of ascent, including a Habitat magazine where she scored free cabinets, another Habitat where she found royally reasonable oak passage, and Home Depot for beadboard. Could you please tell me the brand name of the painters latex caulk u used to fill the cracks. This is necessary for installing the counter top.

CrystalMHL October 2, 2013 Hi there! Your 2 debate are 2 of the most frustrating aspects of mobile homes (along with the vinyl coated walls). Just prefer the cabinets you need that fits the space you have. Those paper cuculate cabinets are a nightmare! Peeling and bubbling usually happen with heat, seniority or if the manufacture of the doors just didn't use a nature adhesive in the manufacturing process. The acrylic latex caulk has worked great for us, but our soil is clay instead of sand, so I'm not sure how to advise you (we're still learning too). We had some bade vile storms this year in LA and like you we decided the roof needs to be replaced by the harden one (herpes zoster now) but we can't seem to get a guide quote. With all the damage done around here lately from storms (our insurance also cut us a obstruction but advised we delay until around oct as capture will go down) the companies are in hog heaven and charging way above normal. I suppose that Lowe’s, HD and such are inattentive of the simple fact that manufactured house no longer habit the odd 20-21 inch deep base cabinets that they used in the long ago past. She is almost done, but she had to fill in each pinery on the paneling using joint compound and then add texture by hand with a trowel and spatula doing it look like Venetian Plaster. Just be aware of the requisite spaces in corners for doors and drawers to frank and the free space needed to open the dishwasher and revrigerator. Good luck! Reply

DivaAugust 6, 2013 at 7:03 PMI loved looking at the pictures and stories of your remodel! We bought a mobile close two years ago and are slowly trying to rework it, health being our big factor in time and labor. I did my dining room glass passage like that and it came right off. It was our very first big DIY job, and although there were parts of it that we loved, we also noticed load of mistakes. Measure your current cabinets individually (or the inside of each space from divider to divider if the outside framing is not clear) and select what you want that comes closest to matching those measurements. blueroofcabin.com

pris Why wouldn’t you be able to replace them with ready made??? As long as you can fit a sink unit and however many other cabs in your space there should be no proposition. Also I have recite on other situation its hard to use orderlly house doors on mobile homes, do you remind where u got ur doors and were they solid to install? Thanks for your time and again, your home is graceful.Delete

Your kitchen makeover is wonderful, well done! It’s so fresh, bright, pleasant and open. It's probably the most extensive site around for mobile/mfg homes. I've seen some folks make their own doors and it looked great. Thank you and look forward to more from yalls home.ReplyDelete

Thank you for describe this comment. I read your situation details and I understood that, importance of a home, and that's why we give our all to every project. The etched mirrors and glass in some doors can be easily replaced with regular glass or mad but each is made differently so you'd have to look at how the mirror/hourglass is planting in the passage to see just how unconstrained it would be. To be sincere, I would recommend installing all new doors made of real wood with no glows. They use test 24 inch deep cabinets. One lady I wit took pallets and made country doors out of them (opine 4-5 vertical pieces of wood all in a ragged chic, unfinished look), it was gorgeous!! You can also buy veneer to attach to the front of the doors, it's just a really thin paneling and there's also a wall-paper like material. We're very proud of our reputation as a local society that is committed to delivering 100% patron satisfaction – every tempo. I'm loving your kitchen by the way, you did an awesome job. I rest during the Time, so I need something a shallow darkening.

If the old saying “the kitchen is the heart of the abode” is pure, then it phlebotomize over to my blog. Each type of cabinet is a specific size and they vary depending on whether sink, corner, drawer or other. Thanks!. 36 inches for a double sink base cabinet is pretty standard. Plus somewhere along the way I finally figured out what we truly love and stopped letting the rest of the world dictate what I imagination I should be doing. And even in an older home that might have the odd sized cabinets there is no ground you can’t replace them with the standard size. I quit asking for advice from everyone under the sun and just started listening to what makes my own heart sing.

RepliesGenevaDecember 5, 2014 at 11:50 AMHi Bethany, Thank you for your sweet comment. We had everything primed and painted but my niece came to call and decided to texture the living, dining, and family room. Google cabinet re-facing and it should give you a lot of great products and ideas. My favorite is Requisite Gray. Anyone living in an older home can relate to the cheap veneer hidden cabinets and the etching from the early 80's..lol. Even if the amount of cabs fall a slight imperfect of what you need, they make spacers to fill in the hiatus. The paint semblance choices and the fixtures you've used are all look expanded.osha training coursesReplyDelete

Love your scullery Gina! Those are my colors, too, so it feels like home. Now we will have to primary again and paint again, but it looks so much better!!! Please keep us in prayer and I will post pictures once we move in. Marco PhillipsteinMay 18, 2012 at 12:38 AMThank you for answering these frequent questions regarding mobile habitat. It's a coin expensive but it will improve the entire look of the lodge. There’s not enough breath available for manufactured homeowners and I want to change that.
